How to Play Mages PvP

Mages PvP is a free multiplayer fantasy PvP game that runs in your browser. Choose a loadout of spells, enter a shared open world, and fight other mages in real time. Kills earn gold, which you spend on new spells and cosmetic robes. There is nothing to download, and it works on desktop, tablets and phones.

Getting started

1. Create a free account with a username and password. Your gold, spells and robes are saved, so you can log in from any browser.
2. Pick your spells in the loadout on the Play tab.
3. Press Enter the Realm and start fighting.

Controls

Desktop

Move with the keyboard, aim with the mouse, cast with the spell keys, and hold the right mouse button to rotate the camera (the left one just looks around). Every binding can be changed in Key Bindings.

Mobile and tablet

Use the left thumb joystick to move and swipe to turn the camera. Tap a spell to cast at the nearest enemy, or drag it to aim and release to cast.

Spells

Spells come from the fire, frost, arcane and storm schools. The starter spells include Fireball, Frostbolt, Arcane Lance, Meteor and Blink. Further spells such as Shard Spray and Chain Lightning are bought with gold in the Spellbook. New spells are not simply stronger: they open up new ways to play. You can swap spells in the middle of a fight from the in-game menu.

Gold and robes

You earn gold from kills. Spend it on spells in the Spellbook and on robes in the Wardrobe. Robes are purely cosmetic.
